Cuba Holidays.

Friday, January 27th, 2012

At this point you are probably quite certain that Cuba is the destination that you want to visit for your next holiday but maybe need some help on how to make a booking . This might seem a little bit trivial but it is definitely not the case when it comes to organizing holidays to Cuba.

The truth is that this Caribbean island is becoming ever more popular every year and this creates a problem for some tour operators . Cuba is not a last minute destination, at least not if you are planning to go in the so called high season.

High season in Cuba , comprises Easter period and the summer months of July and August, particularly popular for people travelling with kids . November, December, January, February and March are awfully trendy months especially among the European tourists looking for the Tropic to escape from the cloudy skies and the cold weather .

Pretty frequently I get people calling asking me to organise a holiday for them in these particular months , and every so often the phone call comes to close to the departure date . It is absolutely frustrating for me and ultimately the client. For one simple thing , I can not shine recommending a package holiday for the fact that the most attractive areas and best hotels are completely sold out , leaving me with the only answer I can give . “I am truthfully sorry but at this point there are no hotels available in the areas that you are attracted to”

Of course if you are looking to do something simple and relaxing like single centre holiday on a beach resort then there is not much to worry about as there are plenty of options available in terms of locations and hotels . The difficulty presents it self when clients are interested in combining locations like Havana, Viales Valley, Las Terrazas, Cienfuegos, Trinidad and or Santiago de Cuba. cities like these with the exception of Havana are very limited when it comes to accommodation facilities .

If what you want is to put together a tailor made Cuba holiday in a peak season my guidance to you is to start with the arrangements at least 4 months prior to departure in order to secure not only the rooms in your preferred hotels but also the best fares for your fight tickets. If you however did not come across this piece of writing before and are planning a last minute tailor made holiday , the likelihood is something will be found for you but certainly the odds of getting the best hotels are not bright

In the case of low season months is very easy to find availabilities and good deals in terms of fares and it really does not matter much when you call. Even so we feel very confident to put together the kind of itinerary that will fulfil your holidays

I truly hope you find some good tips in this article and sincerely wish you a fantastic time in Cuba.

How To Fix A Butane Cigar Lighter That Will Not Light But Hisses

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Even the most expensive lighters will occasionally have problems. In many cases, these problems stem from incorrect handling. In rare cases, there may be a manufacturer-related problem with the device. How these issues are addressed will depend largely upon the origins of the problem. Expensive lighters generally have a warantee and can be replaced if found defective. If not, high-end lighters are oftentimes still repairable and this may prove the best option for resolving the issue.

A hissing sound emanating from a lighter almost always means that there is a stuck release valve. One can experiment a bit by pushing down the fuel release button a few times to see if the problem can be remedied in this fashion. If the problem fails to return, it’s likely that there was simply a stuck valve that was moved into place by depressing and releasing the button. More severe problems require the services of a tech.

If the torch makes a loud hiss and leaks all its fuel quickly, it is likely that there is either a crack in the reservoir or a valve that has become stuck open. Neither situation can be fixed by the user and must be addressed by a qualified technician. In fact, attempting to fix this one’s self may well result in the voiding of any warranty that was offered with the purchase of the lighter which should have paperwork which specifies this.

These lighters can oftentimes be fixed by a professional or replaced outright. A professional is the only person who should be trying to remedy the problem. The parts in these lighters are very small and precise and it’s generally outside the abilities of most people to fix them on their own. Improperly-fixing such devices may result in even more serious problems, some of which may prove a hazard to the user due to the leaking fuel.

If a lighter starts hissing, one can drain out all the butane by depressing the release valve enough to allow the free flow of the gas without triggering the ignition mechanism. This is usually the best first measure. Check the burn area to see if there is an obvious obstruction or damage to the device. If so, bring it to a qualified repair tech. If the lighter continually runs out of fuel, hold it to one’s ear to check for the hissing sound.
